Just wondering, in Germany is there a market for buying a Porsche or Mercedes that is da.aged a d repairing it to use it resell? I recall a lot of safety inspections on our VW years ago. I would think that there may be restrictions on fix and resell based on the inspection requirements.

Spot on. In Germany, fixing up a crashed Porsche or Mercedes is a massive uphill battle. Between strict TÜV safety certifications, mandatory legal disclosure of an Unfallwagen (accident car), and permanent loss of market value, it’s a total minefield for casual flippers—which is why so many severely damaged luxury cars just get exported.

Hard truth. Perfect analogy for how easily we get distracted by the wrong problems.
